Last.fm a pagamento

Dal 30 marzo tutti gli utenti di Last.fm al di fuori di quelli degli USA, Germania e Inghilterra dovranno pagare 3 € al mese di abbonamento per usufruire del servizio.

Oltre al fatto che non concepisco il motivo per cui i tedeschi gli inglesi e gli americani abbiano il servizio ancora gratis mi sento imbrogliato e vi spiego il perchè:

ho trovato interessante il commento di un utente sul blog di Last.fm segnalato dal blog Napolux che riporto anche io:

“Everyone feels cheated. Everyone knows that your sorting algorithms depend on user input, everyone knows that they were helping the whole service whenever they scrobbled, loved or banned tracks. The information people put into the service was used by the algorithms, useful for everyone else in the service, and valuable to last.fm.

So now, after years of data input, helping you upgrade your algorithms and fill your databases, after helping make your service more accurate and valuable, you expect us to pay for using it? No. This subscription fee cheats anyone who has ever scrobbled, loved or banned a track on last.fm. You don’t treat your community this way. I’m leaving.”

Sostanzialmente in questo commento si fa notare che Last.fm ha raccolto informazioni su informazioni sui gusti degli utenti per fare algoritmi e fornire servizi migliori e ora chiede 3€ al mese per usufruire di questi servizi! Con le nostre informazioni…beh ci si sente presi un po per il culo eh?

Io 3€ al mese non glieli darò mai…
